I had a good opportunity to try out another three-wheeler: Britax B-motion 3 Plus. Its the "Plus" that makes it better from the regular B-motion 3. I must say that I am not aware of all the differences between the two models, but I know that the materials in the canopy have changed and the canopy no longer has a mesh extension, which is a significant improvement. Britax isn´t hugely popular in Estonia, the same cannot be said by Sweden and Finland, where Britax Smile 2 is considered one of the best choices when price is concerned.
Britax B-Motion 3 Plus is definitely more of a city stroller, but it can handle a little bumpier roads too. But "handle" the maximum term I would use. I would not take it on hiking trails and enjoy myself probably. The stroller can only be used forward-facing, it has a full recline (with a rope system) and you can regulate the foot-rest. The canopy is long enough, reminds me a bit of Bumbleride Indie even, simply by length. But after a short testing I did not really identify a good intermediate use for the canopy - I felt it stood put only when fully extended or fully pushed back. The stroller has a bumper bar that opens as a gate. There is also a peek-in window in the canopy. When the seat is reclined the back "wall" is either mesh or covered with the canopy fabric. So good both in the summer and colder months. All of these textile connections are with velcro. Shopping basket is medium sized, fits all necessary accessories but I wouldn´t use it for groceries probably because of a bit fragile looking structure and material, also the basket is quite open from the sides.
The stroller has three fairly large air-filled wheels with suspension. The wheels are smaller than e.g on Bumbleride or Mountain Buggy. As for the push, it is not as good as the latter two. The frame is somewhat narrower, center of gravity is located quite low, but in my opinion the weight is not distributed evenly. The suspension is not as flexible and it does not "roll" on its own. Smaller curbs are not a problem, however, but if you actually have to lift the front wheel, this is quite a heavy pop.
You can remove the fabrics for washing, also you can choose from a variety of canopy and bumper bar covers for a change of color. The handle is quite short but still adjustable, so it is OK. For a tall person (180 cm) the handle was still comfortable to use, also a 90 cm child was able to push the stroller. The harness system is a 5-point system, easily adjustable but the choose of materials was not my favorite.
Technical data:
- Folded: 70 x 58 x 41 cm
- Handle bar height: 82 - 110 cm
- Seat back height: 45 cm
- Footrest lenght: 20 cm
- Full seat lenght in recline position: 89 cm
- Surface of the seat (where the child sits): 31 x 24 cm
- Weight: 11.5 kg
- Full carrying capacity: 24 kg
- Seat carrying capacity: 17 kg
- Shopping basket carrying capacity: 4 kg
- Front wheel 24 cm diameter, back wheels 28.5 cm

You can use the stroller with a Britax car seat without adapters, a carrycot or soft cocoon. Also adapters for other car seats are available.
Overall I think it is a cheaper alternative for the more expensive three-wheelers. I like its appearance, the improved fabrics. And from far I even think the stroller looks really beautiful, but from close up a lot of the small details ruin it for me - the bumper bar and its connections look cheap, plastic. The stroller is easy to fold with one hand, canopy is nice and long and for a smaller child quite comfortable. If the price isn´t such an important issue I believe there are better choices out there, but they do come with a couple of hundred extra euros. But out of its kind, its alright, and can probably handle winter too. I kept hitting my legs to the wheels, and if I owned this I would probably put a leather cover on the handle bar.
